Petronet profit peaks

Petronet LNG'S Q3 net profit has gone up by 70 per cent to Rs. 85.10 crore. The company has further consolidated its market share by enhanc ing gas production to 79.49 TBTUs during the quarter ending December 31, 2006 - an increase of 12 per cent over the previous quarter. The turnover was Rs. 1,585 crores during the quarter, posting a 70 per cent growth in Net Profit and 53 per cent growth in turnover over the corresponding quarter of last year. The company sourced 4 spot cargoes at internationally competitive price, further strengthening its presence in the international LNG spot market.
